About Us & Testimonials
Occupational Health & The Key Benefits of Our Approach:
Use of Standard Protocols
We maintain standard protocols covering all aspects of medical examination; these are subject to continual review to ensure compliance with best practice and changes in regulatory standards – providing confidence and assurance in our approach.
Online Recall Management
We add value through the use of a dynamic online recall tracker for employees requiring periodic appointments. This allows us and your managers to easily track and identify when an individual’s next appointment is due.
Statistical Reports and Analysis
We provide on-going management information (MI) to highlight where any health trends/hotspots occur; these are obtained using our ORCHID based system. Using this information, we can advise where preventative initiatives need to be focused.
Keeping your team safe
An example of what’s included in a health assessment. Safety critical medicals are particularly relevant to those carrying out safety critical tasks. The term “safety critical work” is defined as: “Where the ill health of an individual may compromise their ability to undertake a task defined as safety critical, thereby posing a significant risk to the health and safety of others.”
Examples
Examples of safety critical roles include scaffolders, plant operators and working at heights. It is important to ensure that safety critical workers are not suffering from medical conditions or undergoing any medical treatment which is likely to cause sudden loss of consciousness or incapacity, impairment of awareness, concentration, balance or coordination or significant limitation of mobility. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 employers have a duty of care to prevent the ill-health of their workers. A medical, such as a fitness-for-task health check, as identified in the national industry standards for occupational health, would go a long way towards ensuring these legal requirements are met.
